Founded in 1989 by a group of visionary humanitarians, the World Humanity Commission was born from the conviction that every human being deserves to live in dignity and security. Our history is one of relentless pursuit to build a better world.

Foundation

Official creation of the World Humanity Commission in Geneva, Switzerland, by a group of 12 visionary founders.

1995

First Major Humanitarian Mission

Launch of our first international mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking our concrete commitment on the ground.

2001

United Nations Recognition

Achievement of special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

2010

Global Expansion

Establishment of regional offices in 50 countries and launch of the "ActForHumanity" program worldwide.

2015

Humanity Awards

Creation of the Annual Humanity Awards to recognize exceptional individuals and organizations.

2020

Pandemic Response

Launch of a comprehensive humanitarian response to the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching 120 countries.
